Editorial Policy
We write every description and guide on this site ourselves, from the specification we hold for each piece. The name on a card is ours too: a search title runs to a hundred characters and names nothing, so we name the piece by its cut, its inseam and its colour.
Where a label is silent, we leave the line out. A measurement nobody measured is worse than no measurement, and a fabric percentage we did not read on a label does not appear on a page.
Where the maker makes a claim we cannot check, such as UPF 50+, quick-dry or water resistant, the page prints it as the maker's words and adds nothing.
Where health or safety comes into a guide, we read the public guidance ourselves, quote it word for word, and print the date we read it beside the link.
Ratings on a page belong to that piece alone. We never add them up across sizes or colours, because sizes of one colour share a pool of ratings and a sum would count each review many times.
